SCHWEITZERFEST ROAD CLOSURES & TRAFFIC ADVISORY
The Highland Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that several streets will be closed during Schweitzerfest activities to ensure the safety of participants and attendees.
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes whenever possible. Watch for posted "No Parking" signs and temporary traffic control devices. Vehicles parked in restricted areas may be subject to towing to facilitate the event.
Saturday Parade Traffic Advisory
Motorists are advised to be aware of additional road closures and traffic delays on Saturday between 4:00 PM and approximately 6:45 PM due to the Schweitzerfest Parade. Streets along and surrounding the parade route will be temporarily closed, and traffic may be diverted until the parade has safely concluded and participants have cleared the area.
If you plan to travel through downtown during this time, please consider using alternate routes and expect delays. We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators.
Our officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, Public Works staff, and event volunteers will be working together throughout the weekend to make this a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
Please drive cautiously, watch for pedestrians, and follow the directions of public safety personnel.
