The City would like to inform residents that we are beginning a project to replace several water mains that have experienced multiple service breaks. To complete this work, the City has contracted with Haier Plumbing and Heating to install new water mains along the following streets:
• Washington Street – from 8th Street to 6th Street
• Pine Street – from 8th Street to 6th Street
• El-Kay Meadows Subdivision (off State Route 143, west of Silver Lake), including water mains along Giger Road
This project will include the installation of new water mains, hydrants, and water services.
Temporary road closures may occur during construction to ensure the safety of workers and residents. All streets will reopen at the end of each workday. Customers within the construction areas may experience a brief water service interruption of approximately one hour while their service is connected to the new water main.
Work is scheduled to begin March 12 and will continue for several weeks. Please watch for road closure and no parking signs in the affected areas. See the map below for project locations.
