Tonight is the World of Outlaws Late Models Beat the Heat 40 at the Highland Speedway. The pits will open for racers at 11:00 am, and the gate will open at 4:00 pm.
The Highland Police Department and the Highland Speedway have been working together to ensure students are the priority during this event.
During school dismissal, Lindenthal will be closed to hauler traffic. This is to ensure that school traffic can disperse without any disruptions. Haulers will be rerouted to an overflow location until the school traffic has cleared. We have a team of officers on site to assist with this.
We understand that an event such as this on a school night may not be the most convenient time. The organizers determine the scheduling for events such as the Outlaws.
