In preparation for the Schweitzerfest, the following road closures will be in effect:
- 800 and 900 blocks of Broadway, as well as the Laurel Street from Main St. to Broadway, will be closed effective 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6.
- Washington St. will be closed from Broadway to Main St. Main St. will be closed from Washington St. to Laurel St. beginning Friday, June 7 at 3:00 p.m
- The one-way block of Laurel from Broadway to 12th will be closed to through traffic for public safety staging.
- The alleyway will remain open for business and emergency traffic.
- All IL Route 160 tractor-trailer traffic should use US Route 40, Hemlock St, and Highland Road as a detour around the road closure located at the 800 and 900 blocks of Broadway.
Vehicle traffic for these locations will be prohibited. A detour map is provided and will be in effect until Monday, June 10 at midnight.
