PRESS RELEASE –UTILITY and HCS ACCOUNTS

In response to the National and State Declarations of Emergency surrounding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic, Mayor Michaelis has signed a Proclamation of Emergency for the City of Highland to allow city officials and emergency services to work with outside agencies towards the resolution of this public health emergency. 
In an effort to continue to provide the best customer service to our utility and HCS customers the following modifications will be made:

Effective 3/17/20- Until Further Notice

  • Penalties will not be assessed on past due accounts
  • Past due statements will be mailed with no additional charges assessed
  • Disconnections will not occur on any past due accounts

 The City of Highland would like to remind you to contact us with concerns relating to your utility and HCS accounts in an effort to keep your accounts as current as possible in these economic conditions.  Please contact us at 618-654-9891 for utility and 654-1519 for HCS to discuss the various options that we can offer to you.
