Christmas with a Cop

We have such a generous community!!  Over the last few days, the Highland Police Department was able to give back to families of our community and agencies that serve our citizens as part of our Christmas with a Cop program.  Money for that program is donated by local businesses and individuals.  We would like to thank Lucky Lincoln Gaming, Kloss Furniture, Olde Wicks Factory, Highland Moose Lodge 2479, Contegra Cares, Mary Horton, Highland Lodge 583, Hope Lutheran Church, Boagie Buddies, Mike Curtis, Bank of Hillsboro,  Terry Burns, Michaels Coffee Shop, The Bowling Team,  and numerous of individuals who provided cash donations.

Because of the generosity of others, we were able to make Christmas a bit brighter for 17 children.  Thank you to Walmart for hosting the event, Gliks, and our newest supporter, Shoe Sensation, for adding to the fun.

In addition, we were able to donate to organizations that go out of their way to contribute to our community.  The Madison County Child Advocacy Center, The HACSM Food Pantry, Pac Camp, and Holly’s House of Hope.  Each organization cares for young people in our area, and we deeply appreciate each.

Thanks to the police departments who shared in our day: Troy Police Department, St. Jacob Police Department, Grantfork Police Department, Worden Police Department, and the Illinois State Police.  Thanks to Santa and Mrs. Clause for making the long trip to our great town.  The smiles were worth every moment.
