Highland Welcomes New Officers

The Highland Police Department would like to introduce you to our three newest officers.  This year, we have been met with staff reduction for various reasons and the request for a second School Resource Officer.  All of that, and the receipt of grant funding, meant we would be adding new officers to the agency.

Officer Matthew Bogard has begun his field training and will attend the three-week transition academy in September.  Because he comes to HPD with some law enforcement experience, his prior training will allow him to be out on his own very soon.

Officer Christopher Boeser graduated from the Police Academy on August 25th.  Officer Boeser received an award for the second-best range scores in the academy (90 officers) and completed his training with an average of over 90%.  Officer Boeser has started his field training.

Officer Nicholas Wiegand was sworn in as an officer on August 21st.  He started his academy training this week and will graduate in December.

Please help us welcome these new officers to the Highland Police Department.  We look forward to these young officers' positive impact on our city.
