The Highland Police Department would like to announce that arrests have been made in the recent rash of vehicle burglaries. Two suspects were identified with the community’s help and subsequently charged with 6 counts of burglary and 1 count of criminal damage to property for each. Because of their ages, they are not being identified. Some property has been recovered, but ownership has not been determined. Victims will be contacted shortly.
We want to thank the community for their help. The subjects were quickly identified and brought to justice by providing investigators access to property cameras and by giving witness accounts.
As a reminder, secure your vehicles each night and remove any property of value. This is the first stage in prevention.
Thank you again for the help. Together we will keep our community safe.
Carole A. Presson, Chief of Police
