This morning, around 9am, a grain truck came into contact with a shared use power pole and impacted the guy wires, which rendered power unstable in the areas on the North side of Broadway, from Iberg Rd. to Oberbeck Grain at 700 Walnut. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Ameren is responding and we expect to begin repairing the facilities on that pole soon. Customers who experienced flickering and power outage this morning will experience a 2nd outage during the repair. That outage is expected to be short, around 10-15 minutes.
In the meantime, street and alley has blocked the road way on 6th St. by Oberbeck grain while repair is being completed. We appreciate if you avoid that area until the repair is complete. We will update as progress is made.
