Does the pavilion have electric?
Several pavilions have electric available for a small fee of $10 paid at the time of the reservation.

Is there a public restroom near the pavilion?
The majority of the parks with pavilions have a public restroom within walking distance of the pavilions.
- Glik Park has restrooms built into the Concession Stand Pavilion
- Silver Lake Park has four public restrooms throughout the park that are located within walking distance of the pavilions.
- Spindler Park has one public restroom
- Rinderer Park has one public restroom
Hoffman Park is the one park that does NOT have a public restroom.
If the pavilion we rent has a fire pit, do we need to bring our own firewood?
Bringing firewood onto city property from outside sources is NOT allowed. If your pavilion has a fire pit, please use the wood provided or find loose wood within the park to prevent the spread of diseases among trees.
It is the responsibility of the renter to provide fuel for burning. Charcoal lighter fluid, paper, or manufactured starter logs are recommended.
It is the responsibility of the renter to extinguish the fire upon completion of the event. It is recommended that the renter bring a 5 gallon bucket for fire control and to extinguish the fire. No hose or bucket will be provided by the City.
Can we bring alcohol to the pavilion?
Alcohol is permitted. Controlled substances and smoking are strictly prohibited.
Can we have a bounce house?
Inflatables are NOT permitted. The only exception is a special event permit approved by the city council.
Can we have a band or a dj at our party/rental?
A band, dj, or any entertainment with amplified sound are not permitted without a special event permit approved by the city council.
How long can I rent the pavilion?
Once you reserve the pavilion, you have the ability to use it the entire day that the park is open. All parks are open 5am to 10pm, but keep in mind which pavilions has lights and which do not when making the reservation and planning your rental.
How many tables are at the pavilion?
The number of tables vary from three to fourteen depending on which pavilion you decide to rent. Please check the amenities listed for each pavilion in the descriptions in Parktivity. Tables are not to be moved.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
In order to receive a refund for a cancellation the parks staff must be notified by calling 618-654-6071. In the event that severe weather causes the cancellation, the reservation may be rescheduled for another open date or a refund may be issued.
Can we have a wedding ceremony in the park?
Wedding ceremonies are permitted with approval. A pavilion rental is required for ample parking spaces. Decorations are allowed, but must be provided by the renter and removed at the conclusion of the event.
Are pet(s) allowed?
Pet(s) are allowed if leashed and cleaned up while using the park.
Do we need to provide trash bags and empty the trash containers?
No, you do not need to bring trash bags or empty the trash containers. However, we do expect all trash/litter to be placed in the provided containers prior to leaving the area.
