Young at Heart Bus

The YAH Bus is a FREE service available to be used by any senior citizen or an individual with special needs.  This is a great resource for individuals who are unable to drive, but need to make trips to the grocery store, doctor's office, Korte Recreation Center, etc.

Area Available:  Highland City Limits for necessary trips and/or Parks & Rec events and facilities

Days:  Monday through Friday

Hours:  9am to 4pm 
The bus does not run on Holidays.

Max Capacity:  14 or 10 with 2 wheelchairs

Rules/Guidelines:
  • Appointments - Call 6185-654-6071 and NOT the bus driver.  They cannot answer the phone while driving and all stops must be documented on the log.
  • Cancellations - If you need to cancel your appointment, please give at least ONE HOUR notice.  Call 618-654-6071 to cancel your slot and the office staff will notify the driver.
  • Medicine Delivery Service - The YAH Bus Service will pick up your medicine from Highland CVS & Walgreens is scheduled and will deliver to you.  Please confirm with the pharmacy an alternative pick-up person.
