All Highland utility customers will receive an additional notification in their September utility bill, specifically for our water customers. This notification responds to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency issuing the Highland Water Department a Non-Compliance Advisory violation for Nitrate testing. It’s important to note that the advisory pertains to the sampling date, not a failed result. The advisory concerns the nitrate sampling period.
