Helvetia Township connects with the southern sector of Highland and Saline Township connects with the north. The City of Highland provides the Townships with a primary EMS response agency, automatic mutual aid for Fire Response and mutual aid for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for Law Enforcement. Additionally, Highland’s award-earning Community Unit School District 5 extends through the territories of Helvetia and Saline. The Townships’ countryside landscapes contribute to the tranquil mood of the community.
