John’s connection to Highland began over a decade ago when he met his future wife, Wendy Winet. When the time came for John and Wendy to choose where to raise their family, they prioritized finding a safe, friendly community with a state-leading school system, and the decision was an easy one to make.

As a small business owner, John is a fierce advocate for fiscal responsibility and governmental transparency. John furthers these causes by engaging with the community. John regularly hosts “Coffee with Your Councilman” at Michael’s where Highland residents are invited to come voice their opinions and concerns.
John can also be found at the Korte Rec Center coaching his daughters’ sports teams, watching them dance at IMOVE, or with Wendy and the girls at one of Highland’s festivals.
