Dennis Foehner -Treasurer

I am a lifelong resident of Highland, a 1965 graduate of HHS, and a 1969 graduate of SIUE with a degree in business administration.   After graduating from SIUE, I served in the US Army for two years as a Military Policeman.

Most of my professional career was spent at Basler Electric Company where my primary duties were in the fields of procurement, inventory management, and logistics.   I retired from Basler in 2012.

My wife, Janis, and I are the parents of two adult children and we have two grandchildren.   We are members of EvUCC where we sing in the Chancel Choir, and are members of several boards and committees.   We enjoy playing golf, traveling, flower gardening, and getting together with friends and family.Dennis Foehner - City Treasurer

I am the Treasurer of the Highland Lions Club, and volunteer for both Meals on Wheels and the Highland Area Christian Service Ministry.  I also have served on several city committees, and was Secretary of the Glik Park Development Committee.

I consider myself very fortunate to have spent my formative years growing up in Highland, and to be able to spend most of my adult years both living and working in Highland.  Highland has been, and still is, a great place to raise a family – due to the safe environment we enjoy, great schools, beautiful parks and amenities, etc.

Serving as City Treasurer, along with my volunteer work, allows me to give back to this wonderful community and to honor the people who taught, coached, and mentored me during my youth, and provided the opportunities which I have enjoyed throughout my lifetime.
