- Motorized boats are permitted on the large City Lake Only.
- All boats are required to have a City of Highland boat license with a 50 H.P. limit on engines. No other motor is permitted to be on the boat, no exceptions.
- A current Illinois watercraft identification card is required for motorized vessels.
- Non-motorized canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards are permitted on both the large City Lake and/or the Old City Reservoir with purchase of a Highland sticker.
- Inflatables of any kind are NOT permitted on any City of Highland body of water.
