HIGHLAND PARKS & RECREATION PHASE 4 SERVICES

The City of Highland Parks and Recreation personnel has been monitoring Governor Pritzker’s 5-Phase COVID-19 plan regarding the opportunity to reopen portions of our service areas. As we make preparations for Phase-4 that is scheduled to start on Friday, June 26, 2020, the following amenities will be reopened while implementing guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

All outdoor recreation sites will reopen for groups of no more than 50 and have the ability to have adequate space to appropriately social distance. In addition, after-hour pool rentals and pavilion rentals will be permitted.  Although groups of 50 are allowed, reservations must still be made for rentals and admittance to the Korte Recreation Center, Indoor Pool and Weinheimer Community Center. Reservations for the Korte Recreation Center, Indoor and Outdoor Pool and Weinheimer Community Center will be expanded to non-members and season pass holders. Additionally, we will extend the hours of operations but will continue to periodically close facilities for a short time to perform thorough cleaning to ensure your safety.
